At Sonoma Ballooning, we are proud to support the local schools and community organizations that make the Sonoma Valley a world-class place to live and visit. To ensure our contributions are impactful and sustainable, we follow these guidelines for all donation requests.
1. The Fly for a Cause Program
We utilize a performance-based donation model that allows organizations to raise funds through community engagement.
- Custom Booking Code: Upon approval, your organization will receive a unique tracking code.
- 10% Donation: Sonoma Ballooning will donate 10% of the fare for every passenger who successfully completes their flight using your code during your 6-month window.
- The Flown Requirement: Donations are earned only on completed flights. If a flight is canceled due to weather or safety and not rescheduled, or if a passenger is a no-show, no donation is earned.
- Future Bookings via Gift Cards: If a supporter wishes to book a flight for a date beyond your 6-month window, they should purchase a Gift Card using your code. We will honor the 10% donation for Gift Card purchases made during your window.
- Exclusivity: This program cannot be combined with any other discounts, promotions, or special offers. The code must be applied at the time of purchase or booking.
- Payout: A single donation check will be issued within 30 days of the 6-month window closing.
2. Eligibility and Restrictions
To maintain our focus on community and education, we have the following restrictions:
- Approved Groups: We prioritize K-12 schools and registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations.
- Prohibited Requests: We do not provide donations or partnerships for political parties, campaigns, or politically-affiliated action groups. Additionally, we do not fund religious sectarian programs or purely denominational purposes. For-profit entities and individual fundraising pages are also excluded.
- Location: Priority is given to organizations based in the Sonoma Valley and North Bay areas.

Sonoma Ballooning reserves the right to approve or decline any request, or terminate a partnership window, at our sole discretion.
