The evening before, we’ll call or text you with your exact check-in time, once our FAA-certified pilots have reviewed the morning’s weather.

Your team arrives in the dark, coffee in hand, and watches the crew stand the balloons up: fans roaring, envelopes inflating, burners lighting the fabric from inside. The flight itself runs 45 to 60 minutes over the Carneros corridor, the open ground where the Sonoma and Napa valleys meet — vineyard blocks laid out like a map, fog pulling back off San Pablo Bay, and on clear mornings the San Francisco skyline on the horizon.

After landing, the crew packs the envelope and everyone gathers for a champagne toast — we’re the only company in the area that still includes it with every flight. What a Team Flight Costs in 2026

For small teams of two to seven, the simplest move is joining a shared flight: $265 per person Monday through Thursday, $285 Friday through Sunday. Most offsites happen midweek anyway, which puts you on the cheaper rate by default.

At eight or more, you can charter whole balloons. A charter is priced at the basket’s capacity times $285, plus a 10% crew gratuity — which works out to $313.50 a head no matter which basket you fill:

The Offsite Planner’s Checklist

A few things that make you look good in front of your team:

• Book early, confirm headcount later. Charters are priced by basket, so a firm number matters less at booking than a firm date. Fall mornings fill fastest — September and October are our heaviest offsite months.
• Pick a weekday. Cheaper join-in seats, quieter roads, easier restaurant reservations afterward.
• Tell everyone the dress code: layers and closed-toe shoes. Launch temperatures run 20 to 30 degrees cooler than the afternoon. The full list is on our pre-flight page.
• Know the rules for guests. Everyone must be at least 8 years old and 57 inches tall — only relevant if your offsite doubles as a bring-the-family day, but worth knowing before someone asks.
• Build the schedule around a 3–4 hour morning. Don’t book a 10 a.m. working session. Do book an 11:30 tasting.

A sunrise flight is the rare team event that gives you the day back. By 10 a.m. your team has already done the memorable thing, and Sonoma is just opening.

Can the whole team fly at the same time?

Up to 70 people can fly the same morning across multiple balloons, launching together from Sonoma Skypark. Larger companies split across consecutive sunrises — up to 100+ guests over two or three mornings.

What about teammates who are nervous about heights?

Do we need to be athletic?

No. If you can climb into the basket and stand for about an hour, you can fly.

What happens if the weather cancels our morning?

We make the call the evening before and again at dawn. If we can’t fly, your group reschedules or gets a full refund. For offsites with tight schedules, we recommend booking the first morning of your trip so there’s a natural backup day.

How far ahead should we book?

As soon as your date is set. Midweek mornings can sometimes come together on shorter notice, but fall dates and full-fleet mornings for 40-plus guests deserve as much lead time as you can give them.
